Best Job Interview Tips

Prepping for an important job interview? 🤓 Impress the company by researching these four things✨:

1️⃣ Type the company name into Google & click “news”.

Read all about the latest developments in the company, even if they don’t have anything to do with your desired department. It’s important to know about the company's health as a whole! 🩺⛑️ Then if you really want to impress your interviewers, integrate it into one of your questions to ask at the end!

2️⃣ Look up the company on Glassdoor.com (a website where people can anonymously review their company & give others info)

Be SURE to click the “interviews” tab to get ideas for what kinds of questions they ask in interviews and practice those! 🤯🙌🏼 You’d be surprised how helpful these can be.

3️⃣ Go to the company website & read their “careers” and “about”/“mission” pages.

Depending on the company size, these will vary. Be sure to read about any benefits they advertise so you can ask about them in the interview. ✍🏼 And def memorize their core values/mission so you can incorporate those keywords into your answers. You want to come off as a great culture fit and including those answers in your responses will help make it obvious that you are!

4️⃣ Go to LinkedIn, type the company into the search bar & click on “people”.

Browse people who work there & see if you have any mutual connections.🫱🏻‍🫲🏼✨ Reminder — LinkedIn defaults to a setting where people can see if you view their profile. That’s FINE! In fact, we love that for you 💛 It shows them you’re doing your research (but yeah, maybe don’t go looking up your ex’s new girlfriend lol)

Of course, in addition, go through the 10 most popular job interview questions & rehearse your answers (tell me about yourself, why do you want to work here, etc…) 🗣️I even have a template with sample answers for each of these questions available on my website to make your life even easier.

Think about what the COMPANY is looking for and articulate yourself as their perfect match 🧠

You got this! 👏
